Welcome to Upper Room Daily Reflections.
Here at Upper Room Ministries, we say, “Every Day — Find a Way.” We invite you, every day, to find a way to spend some time with God in reading, prayer, and meditation.
Here’s how to use Daily Reflections:
1. Read Daily Reflections online. Or subscribe to a feed (RSS or email) to have the reflection pushed to you every day.
2. Read each day’s quote from an Upper Room book or magazine. Spend some time thinking about these words and how they speak to you that day. As you spend time with the quote, it will deepen within you, bringing you new insights and connections.
3. Read the scripture reading each day. The scripture reading is from the week’s lectionary scriptures. (Read more about the lectionary.) Read the scripture meditatively and prayerfully. (Try doing Lectio Divina with both the scripture reading and the quote for the day.)
4. Close your meditation time with prayer. If you would like to, submit a prayer to the Upper Room Prayer Center or to the MethodX Prayer Wall.
5. Share your thoughts with others by commenting on that day’s reflection on the Daily Reflections web page.
I hope by sharing this, it will be a way of also bringing us all closer together...
Your Sister in Christ,
Colleen

Today’s Question
On this day of Pentecost, where are you seeing the Spirit working?
Today’s Scripture Reading
When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house.
- Acts 2:1-2, NIV
- Romans 8:26, THE MESSAGE
This Week …Special Need:
Pray for memories of those loved and lost. Add your prayer to the Prayer Wall.
Tips for Your Spirit:
Personalizing Scripture: Sometimes we can personalize a passage of scripture by placing our own name in it. Some passages lend themselves to becoming personal prayers as we make ourselves the recipients of God’s Word. Try the practice, Personalizing scripture.
Lectionary Readings:
Acts 2:1-21
Psalm 104:24-35
Romans 8:22-27
John 15:26-27; 16:4b-15
