A lady from Claremore, Oklahoma was at the end of her rope. She says "I'm getting 10 to 12 calls a day from the same number. I've told them to stop calling but the calls keep coming. Is there a way to look up these numbers?" Absolutely. You can be your own PI with the help of other people plagued by the same problem.
First you can go to www.google.com and enter the phone number to search.
Secondly, you can also go to whocalled.us See what other consumers have tracked down. Often you can find a company name and mailing address. You can write a letter telling them to stop calling.
Finally be sure you have all of your phone numbers, including your cell phone, registered on http://www.donotcall.gov/
You can file complaints if a company is in violation of the Do Not Call list. The FTC can fine a company thousands of dollars for not sticking to the rules.
