Consider homemade decorations
Make it fun for the entire family. To jazz up the common popcorn string add some cranberries for a touch of color. Decorate your house by bringing the outside in, using pinecones and acorns! Sprinkle with a few drops of pine scented oil if you have it on hand.And, rather than buying those expensive colorful ornaments, make your own. Children will love this project and it will remind you of your children everytime you look at the tree. Pinecones or seashells can be collected and painted. A ribbon can be attached for easy hanging.But, if homemade isn't your thing, just remember the stores have incredible sales every year close to the holiday or even better, after the holiday!
