Missing you....& Thankful Thursday

Visit Iris for Thankful Thursday

This is a different swing on my Thankful Thursday because I am Thankful this person touched my life.

Have you ever had someone that means or meant the world to you? Did you and that person argue and go your separate ways? Did you just go your separate ways and just never found the time to communicate again? Did this person die?

Suddenly you see someone that reminds you of that person. The image stays with you. You think of that person for weeks.

If you had the chance to talk to that person ONE MORE TIME.... what would you say? How would you act?

My Friend died in 1997. She was like my lifesaver..... I have never forgotten her and never will. Somedays I just want to pick up the phone and call her, ask her opinion on something I am doing. I want to see if she wants to go to one of our famous lunches that lasted for hours.? See if she wants to walk along the Riverside after work? Have her read something I wrote and get her honest feeling about it.... Sit out on the balcony and have a glass of wine and talk about the stars, our kids, our grandkids, and count the stars.... I miss all that, I miss her very much...

So what do we do about our Friends we miss? I sometimes will sit and write her a long letter, telling her everything.... when I am done, I put is away for a few days.... Somehow, I feel the questions I asked, get answered..... I reread something I wrote and say HEy this could be better if I did such and such....

Try it.... write to your friend.... if they are still alive, SEND the letter.... Good Friends are hard to find.... If you have one you have misplaced.... Find them... and bring them back into your life.

With those thoughts in mind, go over to Peggy's The Simple Woman

and read about her new Writing Post. Even if you are missing a Friend, you can surely make a new one.

much love,

I miss you, Jean

  2. been almost 11 years but a Good Friend like she was is hard to find. She saved me from a horrible life and showed me that I was a person with much to offer.... I miss her dearly... They say time heals... sigh.
