We associate many things, feelings, moods and symbols to colors.

In babies, blue is for boys and pink is for girls.
Green symbolizes a clean and healthy environment;
white is peace or purity;
black is death;
violet is royalty.

Today, you'll create your own color symbols. Freewrite on what the following colors make you feel, or what these colors mean to you. Your resulting piece can be anything -- a poem, a short essay, a story.
~ red
~ yellow
~ green
~ gray
~ orange
~ black
~ brown
~ gold

Optional activity: What color is your mood right now?

Freewrite on this for 5 minutes.
